Annapurna Base Camp trekking starting from low warm sub-tropical valley of beautiful Pokhara, a touristic spot blessed with natural scenery of mountains and lakes, as walk heads into high green hills covered within lovely cool alpine forest laden with tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks-pines and fir trees.
In spring and summer times the area will be spectacular when wild flowers are in full bloom with riot of colors covering the hills of Annapurna Himalaya all the way to its base camp in the heart of Sanctuary.
Walk is not overly difficult with some uphill and downhill to encounter as you explore traditional Gurung villages along the way within typical heartland of Nepal.
Small and nice thatched roofed villages, set among the terraced fields, make an attractive picture with backdrop of magnificent Annapurna, Manaslu and Dhaulagiri including majestic Machapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’.
Annapurna area first explored by British Adventure Col. James O.M. 'Jimmy' Roberts in 1956 and then exposed to the world as 'Sanctuary of Gods'. Since then this scenic and picturesque plateau christened as "Annapurna Sanctuary".
Once you enter Annapurna Base Camp and the Sanctuary surrounded within amphitheater of snow peaks from Annapurna (26,545ft-8,091m), Annapurna south (23,693ft-7,219m), Gangapurna (24,457ft.-7,455m) and Annapurna III (24,787ft-7,555m) with magnificent Machapuchare Himal (Fish-tail).
Return journey, descend through lush terraced Modi Khola valley and finally concluding Annapurna Base Camp Trekking at Pokhara, a popular scenic spot with serene and calm Phewa Lake, dominated by towering Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu range with majestic peak of Machapuchare (Fish-Tail).

Trip Dossier:
Day 01:
Arrive at Kathmandu 1,300m via respective airlines.
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport received by our staff and then transfer to your Hotel, our guide will brief on Hotel, Kathmandu, trekking programs, do's and don'ts and other related information.
Day 02:
Fly to Pokhara, drive to Hille and trek to Ulleri 1,760 m -06hrswith drive and walks.
As per flight schedule for Pokhara, our staff transfers you to Kathmandu domestic airport for a short scenic half hour flight to land at Pokhara airport.
On arrival at Pokhara our trekking staff receives you for a short drive away from beautiful Pokhara city, to begin our first day walk, as drive leads through farm villages and towns overlooking views of Annapurna and Machapuchare Himal, as drive brings you at Nayapul and then begin our first day walk to Ulleri village with drive to Hille village.
Drive leads past Bhirethati an attractive village located on the bank of Modi River with warm sub-tropical temperatures, on reaching Hille starting with uphill walk on stone paved steps all the way to our overnight stop at Gurung village Ulleri.
A large typical Nepalese Hill village adorned with traditional architecture of mud plastered-stone works and thatch roofed houses with views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli peaks.
Day 03:
Trek to Ghorepani 2,874m -05 hrs.
Walk from Ulleri leads to a slow gradual ups into lovely rain and alpine forest with streams to cross, as our route heads within beautiful rhododendron woodland to reach at Ghorepani for overnight stop.
Ghorepani offers great views of Dhaulagiri range of mountains and as well of Annapurna South and Vara Shikhar Himal located at the base of Poon Hill and on Old Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade / Caravan Route of Nepal and Tibet which leads beyond Upper Mustang and Kaligandaki River valley.
Day 04:
Hike to Poon hill 3,210 m and trek to Tadapani 2,721m -05 hrs.
Early morning hike to Poon hill at the height of3, 210m before breakfast, for stunning sunrise views over Eight Thousand meters high Himalayan peaks with Dhaulagiri-Annapurna and Manaslu range of mountains with majestic Machapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’ the unclimbed virgin peaks of Himalaya.
Enjoy magnificent panorama of Himalayan chain of peaks and then heading back to Ghorepani to continue walk reaching our next stop at Tadapani.
Walk leads to a climb into forest of Rhododendron (the areas regarded as world’s natural garden) in flowering season of March and April, the whole hills covered with riots of colors when wild flowers and rhododendron in full bloom.
After reaching at Deurali top on downhill for an hour, and then uphill to Tadapani village for overnight stop, this nice village amidst forest surrounding offers grand views of Annapurna South, Annapurna II , IV and Machapuchare Himal.
Day 05:
Trek to Chomrong 1,951m - 06 hours.
Trek from Tadapani starts downhill most of the way through pristine forest of oaks and rhododendron with views of Annapurna.
This part of the walk is pleasant till Kimrongkhola, and then climb for few hours, once one the top of the ridge, walk is fairly easy downhillto Gurung large village at Chomrong, the last permanent settlement on routeAnnapurna Base Camp ad Sanctuary.
Day 06:
Trek to Dovan 2,130m via Bamboo 2,050m approx. 6 hours walk.
From Chomrong walks leads on terraced farm fields and then descend to a river, after crossing bridge with uphill for few hours till Khuldi-ghar is reached.
After Khuldi, walk leads downhill for an hour into bamboo thickets till Bamboo a place with number of small lodges within midst of bamboo, rhododendron and oaks forest, having a refreshing stop an hour walk with gradual climb to reach overnight halt at Dovan, an isolated spot with few Lodges to stay within Modi River gorge.
Day 07:
Trek to Machapuchare Base Camp 3,720m via Deurali 3,350 m -06 hrs.
After Dovan, walk into cool forested areas with gradual up following Modi River upstream, the trail continues with few ups and down to reach Himalaya Hotel near a large overhanging cave called Hinko, beneath Hiunchuli peak.
Walk for another hour to Deurali the last place with lodge and tea-house before Machapuchare Base Camp. Vegetation and tree lines fades for high alpine bush and shrubs from Deurali onward, where walk leads up following raging Modi River upstream with few strenuous climb for an hour in between and then ending our day’s walks at Machapuchare Base Camp.

Day 08:
Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130m - 03 hrs.
Walk this morning leads you in the heart of the Sanctuary at Annapurna Base Camp, as trail follows uphill for few hours, on grassy path with pleasant walks reaching a higher ground within a plateau with magnificent views of snow peaks that encircles this lovely spot.
After a climb on nice pleasant trail to Annapurna Base Camp, the one and only base camp with facilities of nice and cozy lodge to stay with high Annapurna peaks backdrop and super mountain panorama. After a great time at ABC then retrace route back to Machapuchare Base Camp for last overnight within Annapurna Sanctuary.
Day 09:
Trek to Bamboo 2,100 m -06 hrs.
After a lovely time in perfect tranquility of mountains and in mountain wilderness trek back towards lush green vegetation and tree lines, walk downhill with few ups to Bamboo for overnight stop.
Day 10:
Trek to Jhinu Danda (Hot Spring) 1,500m. -06 hrs.
From Bamboo, morning walk leads to a short climb to Khuldi, and then descend all the way to the bridge, from the bridge uphill walk to Chomrong. After a break here at Chomrong a short uphill climb and the downhill to Jhinudanda, village with natural Hot Spring with number of good lodges, with time in the afternoon a short walk downhill to hot springs by the river Modi.
Day 11:
Trek to Sibai -03 hrs walk. After lunch drive to Pokhara -03 hrs drives.
From Jhinu downhill to reach a bridge near Modi River and then walking into warmer areas past scattered farm villages and fields following the same river downstream to Sibai, a small farm village sandwiched between the hills of Ghanduk and Landruk village for lunch stop.
After lunch a 2-3 hour drive to Pokhara for last overnight of this great wonderful adventure by serene and calm Phewa Lake with views of Annapurna.
Day 12:
Transfer to Airport for the flight back to Kathmandu.
As per the flight schedule a short drive to Pokhara airport, where 30 minutes scenic flight brings you back at Kathmandu and then transfer to your Hotel.
Day 13:
Transfer to Airport for International departure.
Today as per your international flight time, our Office staff transfers you to airport for your final departure from this amazing country, Nepal.
