This trek can be considered perfect for beginners and family trekkers who want to get away from the busy life of Kathmandu for a few days and revitalize in the tranquility of the serene forest, visiting rural life as it was for centuries. After a short drive to Kakani, a countryside village on the north west of Kathmandu Valley, a walk from there follows the ridge that outlines the Valley with spectacular view of the surrounding landscape and snowcapped range from Mt. Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh to Langtang. The trek continues towards the south east of the Valley ridge in Dhulikhel via the popular spot for Mountain sighting -Nagarkot where one can enjoy the breathtaking sunrise and sunset over the panoramic Himalayan snow range. After the wonderful time in the mid hills, this mesmerizing trip ends with a scenic float rafting at Trishuli River and a visit to Asia’s best National Park in Chitwan for a thrilling Jungle safari.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 01:

Arrive at Kathmandu 1,300m via respective airlines and transfer to Hotel

Day 02:

A day in Kathmandu with half day sightseeing tour.

Day 03:

Drive to Kakani 2,073m begin trek to Narayan Bhanjyang 3-4hrs.

Day 04:

Trek to Shivapuri Danda-Ridge 2,563m. Approx.5 hours walk.

Day 05:

Trek to Chisopani approx. 2,340m. 4-5 hrs walks.

Day 06:

Trek to Nagarkot 5-6 hrs.

Day 07:

Trek to Dhulikhel approx. 1,550m. 6 hrs.

Day 08:

Drive to Rafting point and begin rafting, after lunch drive to Chitwan. 

Day 09:

Full day Jungle activities and elephant safari.

Day 10:

Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

Day 11:

Transfer to Airport for International departure.



Day 01:

Arrive at Kathmandu 1,300m and transfer to Hotel


On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport received by our staff and  transfer you to respective Hotels, where our guide will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, Kathmandu, Trekking / Camping, do’s and don’t and other related information that you might require while in Nepal.


Day 02:

A day in Kathmandu with half day sightseeing tour.


After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed on arrival about the time for your half day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest. Sometime, depending upon your flight arrival if it’s late in the night we will do this tour in the afternoon instead of morning to give you a nice rest before you venture out of the Hotel in our interesting tour.


Day 03:

Drive to Kakani 2,073 & begin trek to Narayan Bhanjyang 3-4hrs.  


Lying to the northwest of Kathmandu and only an hour drive away from the capital, the hilltop is recommended for its quiet surroundings and skyline views of Mt. Gauri Shanker, Langtang, Chobba Bhamare, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Himalchuli. Our journey starts with an hour drive to Kakani from Kathmandu.
From this beautiful spot our walk begins with a gradual climb to the ridge enroute Pataswar Bhanjyang with a view of Ganesh, Manaslu and Langtang a small hill farm village, the walk takes through the farm fields and terraces and through the cool shade of forest to camp at Narayan Bhanjyang after 3-4 hours of good walk. Views of Kathmandu Valley can be seen from this camping spot.


Day 04:

Trek to Shivapuri Danda-Ridge 2,563m. Approx.5 hours walk.


After a lovely morning, our walk continues after breakfast towards the northern highest point of this trek at Shivapuri ridge. Walk follows on the gradual path for sometime, with a last portion of steep climb to the Shivapuri ridge for the overnight camp. Shivapuri provides most of the water supply to the Kathmandu Valley and among the hills; it is closest to the high Himalaya. The wildlife sighting here is also excellent as the park has access to wider lands and areas behind Kathmandu Valley.


Day 05:

Trek to Chisopani approx. 2,340m. 4-5 hrs walks. 


Early morning catch the sunrise with the panoramic views of the Langtang & Jugal mountain range, the walk is more or less gradual in the beautiful woods of oaks, pines and rhododendron with occasional views of the Himalayas to the north, our walk follows short downhill path with two more hours of pleasant trek through the serene forest, and then coming out of the forest to a clearing at Chisopani ridge, where the trail from Shivapuri, Kathmandu and Helambu and Gosainkund meets. Chisopani, a small village situated on the ridge overlooking stunning scenery of the Jugal Himal range and Annapurna to the far west with Gaurishanker and Number towards east.


Day 06:

Trek to Nagarkot 2,100m 5-6 hrs. 


After a wonderful night stop here at Chisopani, early morning is the best time for the views of the sunrise over the Himalayan range of peaks, continue this lovely walk on the gradual downhill trail towards south east following the wider dirt road built by the Nepalese Army. After an hour on the good road switch back to the off beaten small shortcut path down hill to Chowki Bhanjyang passing through the army barrack, on reaching Chowki bhanjyang a small rural village overlooking the eastern side of the Kathmandu valley rim. From here, walk continues on the winding gradual path for few hours passing through the Jarsing Pauwa 1,700m, at Jarsing Pauwa our route diverts to the upper left on the small path leading towards a small patch of pine forest, after an hour and half of nice gentle walk, we then descend for a short distance to Kartike Bhanyang. From this place an hour climb on the wider track brings to the popular mountain village at Nagarkot for the overnight stop. 
Nagarkot, at a height of 2,100 meters above sea-level, this hill top is visited for viewing beautiful sunrises and sunsets and visitors take delight in the layout of the Kathmandu Valley below, on a clear day Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal. Gauri Shanker can be seen from this very spot.


Day 07:

Trek to Dhulikhel approx. 1,550m. 6 hrs.


From Nagarkot with the stunning morning views of the sunrise over the magnificent snow capped peaks, morning walk follows the winding path with few gentle up hills and some gradual section, passing through number of farm villages and cultivated terraced field on this isolated area, this region is rarely trekked by westerners, it will be a pleasant walk on this less frequented route for a while till we join the main road at Dhulikhel. Amongst the many routes which criss-cross this low land farmland, it is not always easy to know which the correct path is. It is best to follow a member of the trekking crew at this stage. After a good walk coming to the road head at Dhulikhel, this is one of the best mountain resorts around the valley rim for the panoramic view of the Jugal mountain region. 
This old Newar town lies beyond the eastern rim of the Valley with comfortable lodging for extended trips, overnight camp near the village of Dhulikhel.


Day 08:

Drive to Trisuli River and commence Rafting then drive to Chitwan.


Morning after breakfast 3 hours drive reaches you for the next great adventure, rafting at Trisuli River. The driving journey leads to the “put in point” of Rafting, here you will be received by our Rafting Captain and will brief you on the safety measures regarding, River, rafting and about do’ and don’t, a picnic lunch will be served by the rafting staffs depending upon the time of your arrival, if it’s too soon we will have on the beaches downstream.

Once in the Raft you’ll have helmets, life-jacket and paddle each, the float down stream takes you through many interesting, exciting rapids, and before the end of the trip Bijuli rapid will give you a big wash, and then back to the bank of the river at Kuringhat or further downstream depending where you started. From here two hours drive leads further down on the flatland of Nepal. A few hours drive will bring you at the outskirt of the “Chitwan National Park”. On arrival welcome by the senior naturalist or the manger for the briefing on do’s and don’t, lodge rules and activities. A fixed set lunch of continental or semi-continental lunch is served at 1 pm in the main dining hut, after lunch, at leisure for a few hours. Afternoon activities as per the Lodge set program for different groups. Afternoon Jungle activities are elephant briefing & bathing (depending upon the depth and size of the river at different seasons) Nature or Introductory walk. Elephant Safari, jungle walk includes visit to the tower (Machan) visit. 

Afternoon jungle activities of 2-3 hours an evening program slide show on Chitwan National Park and its history, flora and wildlife. Cultural Tharu Stick Dance.  Dinner is served at 8 pm. The dinner will be served Nepali dishes or Chinese-Indian dishes.


Day 09:

Full day Jungle Activities.


Early morning a knock at the door for your early Jungle activities, the morning program will be according to group wise either Bird watch tour, Elephant Safari or a Jungle walk. 
After the morning program of 1.5 to 2 hours back to the lodge for few hours of leisure before the next program as above in Day 12 till evening time.


Day 10:

Drive back to Kathmandu 180 km 5 hrs journey. 


Early morning wake up call for different activities as in Day 13. After breakfast, prepare for the scenic drive back to Kathmandu.


Day 11:

Transfer to Airport for International departure.


Today as per your international flight time, keep your confirmed air ticket, and your passport handy. Our staff will take you to the airport for your final departure from this amazing country, Nepal.

9. Extra expense occurred due to unexpected circumstances like cancellation of internal flights, floods, strike etc.


If you are not tied up with time limitations, or have more time before or after your main trip with us, you can join / take following extension trips to make your holiday even interesting. According to extra time you have, you can choose a visit to National Parks for jungle safari viewing rare animals, migrant birds and exotic reptiles or enjoy the whitewater rafting or take a cultural tour of Kathmandu, Pokhara, Nagarkot or even make a quick visit to neighboring countries of Tibet – Roof of the world, India – The country of wonders, Bhutan – The Dragon Kingdom.

We can add these extensions before or after your holiday according to the flights that you have booked / can book. Beside these, if you even want just stay in Kathmandu for relax or any independent activities, we can book extra nights at the Hotel. You can book these extensions together with your main trip booking.


Chitwan National Park

It is one of the oldest and popular National Parks in Nepal recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Site. More than 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros and some 100 nocturnal Royal Bengal Tigers have made their home in this dense forest. There are an estimated 50 species of mammals, over 526 species of birds, 49 amphibians and reptiles and 150 species of butterflies.

The park is spread over an area of 932 sq kms and located in the lowlands of Nepal. The forest cover is predominantly Sal, interspersed with tall grasslands, small hills, ox-bow lakes and flood plains.

Standard Packages are of 2 nights and 3 nights. Chitwan can be reached both by surface and air.


Bardia National Park

The park provides excellent habitat for endangered animals like the rhinoceros, wild elephant, tiger, fresh water Dolphin and many other species of mammals along with over 200 species of birds.

It is a treasure trove of ancient art and architecture that lie hidden in the labyrinth of manmade structures. The ancient pagoda temples and Buddhist stupas stand majestically above the rest of the landmarks. The Palace squares fascinate visitors with its exquisite woodwork and carving. Pokhara is most popular tourist destination after Kathmandu, not because of its easy accessibility but because of its scenic beauty and proximity to many Himalayas. River Rafting

It is located within a reach of 4 hours outside Kathmandu and just 19 kms away from the Tibet Border.

The Bungy bridge happens to be the only privately owned bridge in Nepal. It has been specially designed for Bungy Jumping with a 4X safety factors and has a loading factor of 41,500kg or 4.5 tons according to Swiss measurement.



Paragliding is relatively new adventure sports in Nepal. Paragliding in this Himalayan country can be a truly wonderful and fulfilling experience for the adventure seekers.
