One of the most spectacular treks just across the border, the trips begins with a sweeping flight to Lhasa. With tours in Lhasa of its famed historical sites including the majestic towering Potala Palace. After getting well acclimatised a scenic drive takes you towards Kharte with a visit at Gyantse and Shigatse. From Shegar, the road climbs to the most wonderful scenic point at Pangla pass 5,200m, with amazing views of the great Himalayan peaks including the five eight thousanders, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and Shishapangma. Drive continues towards Kharta for the overnight camp and the start of our trekking adventure in the vicinity of the high southern mountains crossing high passes, following yak dwellers trails and nomads camps, concluding our marvellous trip with a drive to Everest Base Camp. Here we will have day for local hike around beneath the soaring Chomolungmo (Mt. Everest).
