Peak Royalty
The mountaineering expedition team obtaining permit for mountaineering pursuant shall pay the prescribed royalty in the convertible foreign currencies for the specified altitude of Himalayan Peak.
The royalty being paid by a mountaineering expedition team shall not be transferred for another mountaineering expedition team.
Very recently Government of Nepal has introduced New Royalty for Expedition Peaks to encourage climbers to visit Nepal & climb during off seasons. A list below will show that if one comes for climbing in Nepal during winter or rainy season, the royalties are much less than climbing in the peak season of Spring or another busy season of autumn.
