The route is infrequently used by trekkers therefore this trek offers an exceptional introduction to Nepal’s culture and natural beauty. Pass through lush vegetation, rice fields and the arid Tibetan landscape. You’ll see Buddhist prayer flags, stupas, monasteries and Tibetan Buddhism. Along the way you get to see apple orchards and a taste of apple brandy or cider as well! Our route diverts from the main busy Annapurna Circuit trails at Larjung and head towards the Base Camp, east face of Dhaulagiri the 7th highest peak in the world. Alongside the icefall is a summer pasture camp. Rejoining the main trail and proceeding northward towards the deepest gorge in the world, the Kali Gandaki River, pursue a side trip to Muktinath where you can "liberate yourself" like the holy Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims in the 108 water spouts to wash away sins.
