This exhilarating trek passes through the remote valleys of Western Bhutan, high passes and silent peaks with outstanding mountain views. This itinerary includes exploration of the high pristine alpine valleys, which lie to the North of the Bhutanese capital of
Thimpu. Following the trails of the Thimpu river, we ascend into the wild and splendid Basingthang Valley, where we spend a couple of days savoring the upper reaches of the valley. As we cross the spectacular Yale La (4700m), we relish with the fantastic views of Jitchu Drake, before we head off on rarely traveled trail to an even higher pass, the Nachuing La (4900m). This part of the route is just overwhelming as we head towards the Paro valley, through a high alpine world with isolated villages and unsurpassed views of the nearby
Chomolhari. This is insistently the most wilderness experience among all other treks where you meet no other Westerners.
